Gmail is supposed to let senders in your contact list through to your inbox.

Also keep checking the spam folder in your Gmail and mark the alerts as not spam. Adding Google alerts to your contacts should prevent this false positive from reoccurring but just to be safe I'd recommend to continue to watch your spam folder.

Re: Gmail Thinks Google Alerts is Spam?!?

Me too, but I need the alerts. What can be done about it?

Re: Gmail Thinks Google Alerts is Spam?!?

Haha blargumentor. It does feel good to know that even Google has its' flaws.

I'm using Safari for a couple of reasons, but mostly because it's quicker to load and use and crashes much less frequently. Also, when it does crash (which is inevitable since I load up too many tabs no matter what browser I use) there is a very, very handy "Reopen all windows from last session" option under the History menu that does what it says.

I found that even with tab mix plus and Firefox's built-in window recovery many times Firefox would reload after a crash without all my previous windows, which for my browsing tendencies is a big loss.

I haven't given Firefox 3 beta a try yet, but hear it is improved in terms of performance but does it have improved window recovery features? The first thing I did when I got my Macbook Pro a year ago was to install Firefox but I'm finding I like Safari. Still, I could be swayed back to the fox IF it's recovery process at least matches Safari's excellent feature.

Re: Gmail Thinks Google Alerts is Spam?!?

I thought I'd never get to say this, but.. stupid google. PS, how come you're using safari? Firefox beta is sweet..

Re: Gmail Thinks Google Alerts is Spam?!?

Hmm...good idea virtual.
